Today is Diabetes Art Day! Yay!
And here is my project:
I call it Both Sides. Oil pastel on white construction paper, FTW! Which means for the win, in case you were wondering...

Please go to the Diabetes Art Day site to see everyone else's artwork and participate yourself! Share your creativity!
I strongly believe in the importance of getting your feelings out. Diabetes causes A LOT of messy feelings, and creating artwork is a great way to let some of those feelings out.
And many thanks to the amazing Lee Ann Thill for working so hard and putting this day together!
Awesome. But what about the cupcakes??
ReplyDeleteThis is so perfect. There really is two sides.
ReplyDeleteSo pretty. And so true!

ReplyDeleteThere are definitely two sides...and a lot of emotions that go into it! I think you captured that perfectly. :)
ReplyDeleteThe colors are beautiful and the message is so true!
ReplyDeleteAwesome!
ReplyDeleteI love this, and I want to learn how to do it! And maybe I want to go to the art store and get crafty wit' it some more. Seriously though, the contrast is awesome, and you really captured the flip sides of life with diabetes, regardless of type. Great job!
ReplyDeleteLove it, Jess! Thanks for creating and sharing. And you know what? I TOTALLY thought the background looked like COLORED BACON! Or was that just me? Anyone else? Anyone, anyone? Bueller... Ok. Must just be me. Anyhow, great D-Art and thanks for posting it!
